Progression Sessions
Supporting young people in inner London to develop their musical talent, connect with mentors and access industry-relevant opportunities.

Progression Sessions is a UK-based charity that supports young people aged 14 to 25 through music. Founded in response to cuts in creative education, the programme provides free access to studios, mentorship and industry training, helping young artists grow in confidence, develop their talent and build meaningful creative careers.

London is a wonderfully diverse, constantly evolving cultural hub, with young people at the heart of its creativity. Yet access to music education and resources remains deeply unequal. Progression Sessions responds to that gap by offering practical support, creative space and industry insight to the next generation of artists.
Music is more than a subject. It is expression, identity, community and, for many, a potential career path.
At the DHD Foundation, we are proud to support this work. Progression Sessions offers artist development, mentoring and real-world training, reaching young people who might otherwise be excluded from the creative industries. Their community-led model builds confidence, skills and momentum, creating opportunities that continue to circulate long after the sessions end.
