Our Story
The DHD Foundation was founded by Daisy Honeybunn and her husband Pravin Mukhi to fund and support charitable organisations and causes driven by purpose, equity and long-term impact.

Inspired by the example of our co-founder Daisy’s grandfather, who, decades later when he could afford to, quietly repaid the scholarship money his son was granted to attend the local school, saying simply of his motivations, “well it’s obvious, now another little boy who needs it like Dougie can use it.” Tangalle in the south of Sri Lanka in the 2020s may be a long way from Chichester in the 1940s, but the same ethos applies.

We may be a small organisation, but we are guided by the belief that little by little, a little becomes a lot. Safeguarding the planet’s environmental heritage for future generations is central to our work, as seen in our support for the Lanka Environment Fund and other Conservation Collective partners.
Our commitment to making education more accessible is equally strong. From Progression Sessions in London to the Ceylon English Academy in southern Sri Lanka and the IAmPartOfTheChange movement in the UK, we support initiatives that open doors, build confidence and create opportunity, drawing on decades of experience in mentoring, professional services and campaigning.
