Laying the groundwork for global connection, linking young learners in Sri Lanka with native English readers, one conversation at a time.
Read With Me is a weekly reading programme at the Seenimodara English Academy, designed to help students strengthen their English through guided practice with native speakers.
Led by DHD co-founder Pravin Mukhi, these sessions focus on reading aloud, rhythm and pronunciation, helping students build fluency, expand vocabulary and nurture confidence. While some sessions are delivered in person, most are conducted virtually, connecting students in Sri Lanka with readers across the UK and beyond.
You don’t need to be in Sri Lanka to take part. Using simple video feeds, volunteers can join from anywhere in the world. All it takes is time, patience, and a love of storytelling.
